For Rachel, physiotherapy is about much more than treating pain. It’s about helping people better understand their body, gain confidence in movement and managing their return to the activities they enjoy.
Rachel provides personalised care that’s built around your individual goals.
Rachel graduated from Northumbria University in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Over the past ten years, she has worked across a variety of NHS specialties, developing extensive experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy before specialising in Women’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
Today, Rachel treats everything from back pain and sports injuries to pregnancy-related conditions, postnatal rehabilitation and pelvic floor dysfunction. She combines evidence-based treatment with compassionate, individualised care to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Rachel understands the positive impact that movement can have on both physical and mental wellbeing.
Having enjoyed sport and fitness from a young age, she understands the importance of keeping people active, whether that’s returning to competitive sport, lifting your children comfortably, or simply moving through everyday life without pain.
As an APPI Qualified Pilates Instructor, Rachel combines her clinical knowledge with Pilates-based movement to help people build strength, improve posture, prevent injury and move with greater confidence.
Her approach focuses not only on treating symptoms but on helping people understand why they’re experiencing them and how to prevent them from returning.
As a wife and mum to two young boys, Rachel understands that every stage of life brings different physical challenges.
Having experienced pregnancy and postpartum recovery herself, she appreciates the importance of feeling listened to, supported and confident throughout the rehabilitation process.
This personal experience complements her clinical expertise, allowing her to provide care that is both evidence-based and companionate.
Every person is different, which is why no two treatment plans are the same.
Rachel takes time to understand your symptoms, lifestyle and personal goals. Together, you’ll create a treatment plan that’s realistic, achievable and designed to support your long-term health and wellbeing.
Her aim is simple:
Helping you return to the things you enjoy with confidence, strength and a better understanding of your body.
